High Bandwidth Education: I2 Features and Issues

High bandwidth computer networking is opening the door to new levels of computer networked teaching and learning. The premier exploration of such opportunities is Internet2 (I2). This development raises a number of questions. What is I2? What isn't it? Which factors are impacting its future application? What other elements beyond I2 itself are necessary for it to be educationally effective? Where are the strategic models for K12 participation being built?
