Consortium Buying Power

Posted by rhoughton at 2006-03-07 01:19
As the WNC EdNet is a legal entity, it will have the power to negotiate group purchasing to the benefit of all, using the buying power of the numbers in the table above. Several questions need to be answered to determine which products need consortium attention. What products and activities make effective use of high-speed networks, have classroom and/or administrative applications, and are a priority for TAC members?

Completing the document in the Next Priorities folder titled Identifying & Prioritizing Uses of Technology for Learning will help in answering these questions.

Pricing Group Meeting Software

One of the first requests for application software pricing from TAC members was for possible costs for Centra. I will pass the above figures along to a rep from Centra and get Centra's answer. There are others that should be contacted as well with similar products.

would it be appropriate to list TCCC, SCC, & WCU populations also, to reflecting total students that can be impacted through this network?
