Applying the best of science and mathematics to solving many current problems created the vision and the real world practice of robotics. The topic has caught public imagination through lego-robotics and other manufacturers looking for new ways to grow interest in their entertainment and toy products. Curriculum innovators have in turn used these readily available robotics resources to revitalize interest in the ideas and practice science and math. These documents organize information related to robotics education, for K-12 classrooms and beyond. Initially this thinking centers on a summer workshop for teachers that will study the principles of project based learning, the tools of Lego Robotics technology and Internet collaboration. FIRST Lego League competition will be included as part of a larger Robotics Festival. To create and guide an entity that can make decisions that are independent of its composer requires knowledge of a diverse set of skills. Curiously, many of these skills parallel those of any teacher which introduces another area of study.
